Doreen Green is a comp-sci student with dual American-Canadian citizenship and uncanny squirrel-like abilities. During her second year at college, Squirrel Girl became a member of Sunspot's New Avengers and transitioned into the U.S.Avengers when Sunspot began working for S.H.I.E.L.D. and the American intelligence service.
When an attack against the Secret Empire ensues, Doreen and her cadre of flying squirrels spring into action after the enemy launches a flotilla of drones.
