After receiving a terrifying vision of the future where Ultron and his robot army destroy all organic life on Earth in his "Age of Ultron", Doom 2099 attempted to use the power of Chronovium to erase the villain from history. However, unknown to Doom, Ultron had survived his assassination attempt by fleeing to the Sol Galaxy. Later, Doom 2099 accepted Emma Frost's to attend to the Hellfire Gala on Krakoa, hoping to gain access to the island's Chronovium reserves, only for Ultron to crash the part and attack the island, hoping to claim Krakoa and it's ability to rebirth life to form himself a new body.
