Overview[]

Costumes are Cosmetic Items that allow players to personalize the look of their Heroes in-game. And while all skins retain the character's gameplay, those in the highest rarity come with unique bonus features.

As of March 14, 2025, there are 131 alternate costumes available for all 37 Playable Characters in Marvel Rivals.

Costumes obtainable by means other than buying them in the store are indicated by a ★ symbol. Costumes obtained through the BattlePass are indicated by the ✪ symbol.

Classes[]

Costumes are classified into three different tiers, with each one covering specific traits and categories:

RARE
- These costumes are simple colored variants of the Hero's default design, and can be categorized as original recolors from the game or inspired from the comics.
  - Exception No. 1: A full model change is applied to certain comic-inspired skins, which are treated as exclusive rewards for seasonal events.
  - Exception No. 2: A full model change is applied to one BattlePass-exclusive costume every season based on the Hero's appearance in the comics.
- In previews, ALL Rare-Quality costumes will have the Hero's default silhouette background.

EPIC
- These costumes will have your Heroes undergo a full model change, categorizing them as either game-original skins, comic or MCU-inspired, or designs stemming from other Marvel-based games.
- Game-original cosmetics can be further classified as unique skins, themed skins (i.e. Imperial Protocol), or festive skins (i.e. Winter Holiday).
- In previews, ALL Epic-Quality costumes will have a simple-themed background showcasing the Hero's icon.
- Some skins may also have Additional Sound Effects as a bonus feature:
  - Storm's Mohawk Rock skin has a new guitar tune for switching your current aura (LSHIFT) instead of the default sound effect.

LEGENDARY
- These costumes will have your Heroes undergo a full model change, categorizing them as either game-original skins, comic-inspired, or designs stemming from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Game-original cosmetics can be classified as either themed skins (i.e. Imperial Protocol) or festive skins (i.e. Winter Holiday).
- When selecting, ALL Legendary-Quality costumes will have a Cinematic Character Intro Feature. And for previews, the backgrounds come with complete set pieces and the Hero's icon.
- The individual cosmetics themselves will either have Additional Sound Effects or New Gameplay Animations as bonus features.
