The Blob is a mutant who was unaware he was a mutant and all he knew was that he was extraordinary, which is why he spent the most of his life working for a traveling circus as an morbidly obese circus freak. When confronted by the X-Men and told what he was, the Blob immediately became haughty and hostile. He has an extremely large body mass, which gives him extraordinary strength and makes him immovable. He was known for his bully personality and usually uses his powers for minor crime, both on his own and was a member of Magneto's Brotherhood.

In recent events on Krakoa, the Blob has moved on from his criminal past and is now working as a bartender at the island's tiki bar, the Green Lagoon. In the bar, he was conversing with Wolverine and later Magneto.[1]
