Bats is Doctor Strange's pet ghost Basset hound. He is a dog who Doctor Strange adopted and later put a spell on to give him the ability to speak. However, Bats had a weak heart, which led to his death not long after Strange adopted him. Bats returned to Strange in a ghost form after his death and now lives with him around the Sanctum.
